Registered Nurse Charge - MedSurg

Housekeeping PRN

Job Summary: Provides a supply of clean disinfected linens for use in the individual departments; keeps patient linen clean and washed in a manner, which will preserve color and fabric, and avoid contamination and spreading of bacteria; keeps linens washed, dried, folded and stored in designated areas on a daily basis and keeps laundry area and equipment clean. Responsibilities: 1. Conduct job duties in accordance with departmental procedures. 2. Collect soiled linen from various areas of the facility and deliver to soiled linen separating area within the laundry for proper processing. 3. Delivers emergency linen supplies as needed. 4. Maintains/Checks various departments’ linen supplies for adequate par levels. 5. Perform duties as a linen-aide and/or housekeeper. 6. Follows Infection control procedures precisely, utilizes Isolation procedures and handles hazardous material properly. 7. Attend in-service and other meeting as required. Enhance professional growth and development through in-service and other educational programs. 8. Knowledgeable about OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards and must follow the required procedure for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood. 10. Ability to work without close supervision. 11. Reports unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately. 12. Loads linen into washers and dryers according to department standards. 13. Ensures that the laundry department is clean and maintained at the end of the shift. 14. Removes linen from dryers and weighs, logs, folds and prepares for distribution to all departments. 15. Performs other duties as required. POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Hospital Educator, Employee Health & Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for the education, training, and development of hospital staff while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards related to employee health and occupational health. This role oversees Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training, as well as new employee orientation, annual competencies, and continuing education programs.
