Clinical

Medical Technologist

POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Performs overall daily operations and testing in the laboratory, reviews and maintains quality control and preventative maintenance records, inventories laboratory supplies. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Science or a related field from an accredited college or university. Experience: One year experience as a Medical Technologist; hospital experience preferred. Licenses/Certificates: ASCP, NCA, AMT, ABB, HEW or equivalent preferred; BLS Required.

FT & PRN Monitor/Telemetry Tech

POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Telemetry Technician, shall be responsible for monitoring the telemetry status and assigned cardiac monitors of each monitored patient in the ICU unit and for those being monitored in the Med/Surg unit. This technician is responsible for assessing and evaluating the telemetry care of patients and communicating those results to the assigned nursing staff. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalency Diploma (GED). Must possess the ability to read, write, and spell effectively. Experience: At least six months as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a hospital environment, preferably in the area of application. Minimum of six (6) months experience with clerical duties preferred. Must have a firm understanding of medical terminology. EKG and rhythm interpretation required. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards as defined and described on individual department competencies. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress. Licenses/Certificates: Must have and maintain a current training certificate in EKG monitoring, have and maintain BLS certification.

RN

POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Registered Nurse shall be responsible for assessing, planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Experience: Two years of experience as an RN, one year in the area of application preferred. Licenses/Certificates: Current NM RN License. Current BLS, ACLs, and PALs; TNCC within 90 days of employment.

Rad Tech

POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provides information to diagnose patient illnesses by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Accredited Educational Program in Radiology Technology or College Degree Program. Experience: Two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment. Licenses/Certificates: ARRT Registry required and current State Licensure; Current BLS or obtained during first week of employment.

RN Charge

POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Registered Nurse Charge shall be responsible for assessing, planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Leadership skills mandatory. Experience: Two years of experience as an RN, one year in the area of application preferred. Licenses/Certificates: Current NM RN License. FT MRI Tech

FT Pharmacy Technician

POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Under pharmacist supervision, performs a variety of duties in the procurement, preparation, and distribution of medications in an accurate, safe, and efficient manner. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Must possess a High School Diploma or GED. Experience: Prior hospital Pharmacy Technician experience preferred. Licenses/Certificates: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or able to obtain within 1 year.

NP or PA

POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provides comprehensive health care to patients in collaboration with physicians and other medical staff including medical evaluation, counseling and referrals. Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, and physical examination and diagnostic tests. Interprets the data, develops and implements therapeutic plans and follows through on a continuum of patient care across the health-illness continuum and life span. EDUCATION Must be Registered and licensed in the State of NM who has successfully completed a formal NP or PA program approved by a national accrediting agency and who is then certified by a national certified organization recognized by the State. Master's Degree required.

Physical Therapist

POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in managing daily operations of the department. Plans, administers, and coordinates physical therapy treatments to patients from all age groups in order to maximize their potential physical functioning. Contributes to the development of policies, setting of standards, and revision of procedures as needed. Works closely with family members to assure achievement of goals and continuity of care. Provides documentation of patient progress, reassesses and modifies goals and treatments as needed. Supervises and assists with evaluating and training LPTA’s, PT techs, PT students, and the department Secretary. Takes the lead in assuring there is continuous quality improvement involving all staff members. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire and must be kept current. Primary duty of performing work requiring knowledge of an advanced type in a field of science or learning customarily acquired by a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited college of Physical Therapy. P.T.M.S. degree minimum. Experience: Desirable characteristics include a proficiency in written and verbal communications, ability to To establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, and preferably one-year experience as a staff physical therapist. Licenses/Certificates: NM licensed Physical Therapist. BLS required.

Respiratory Therapist

POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provides cardiopulmonary care, which includes assessment, diagnostic evaluation, interpretation and treatment of patients. Provides consultation, technical direction and/or instruction to physicians, nurses and other staff members. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Science or equivalent. Experience: Two years of experience in a hospital environment preferred. Licenses/Certificates: Current New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RRT), BLS, PALS and ACLS.
