Director of Inpatient Services: Medical/Surgical, ICU, Telemetry At Alta Vista Regional Hospital, people are the foundation of our commitment to providing quality, compassionate care. Job Summary: Provides leadership, with limited supervision, in directing daily operations of the inpatient services departments (Med/Surg and Telemetry). Oversight for the design, development, implementation and facilitation of comprehensive clinical programs, operations and quality efforts. Ensures and maintains compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Assists in meeting strategic objectives. Meets established budget and manages costs including forecasting financial impact of planned programs, services and operational initiatives. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited BSN nursing program; MSN preferred, or equivalent combination of education. Must have a minimum of 10 years clinical experience and 5 years management experience and/or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience. experience. Must possess a current New Mexico License or hold a Compact License Have and maintain a current certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS. Other certifications i.e. TNCC are recommended. PRN Advanced Patient Care Tech in Emergency Department! Job Responsibilities and Requirements Responsibilities: Greet, evaluate, and assess necessary patient care. Document patient information, conditions, and treatments while upholding confidentiality, ensuring all care respects patient rights. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other hospital staff to provide timely, safe, and competent care. The coordinator acts as a liaison between healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients, ensuring that authorization requirements are met and denials are appropriately appealed. Key Responsibilities: Prior Authorizations: Obtain prior authorizations for outpatient procedures, diagnostic testing, and specialty medications. Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements for scheduled services. Communicate with insurance companies, physician offices, and patients to secure required documentation. Track pending authorizations and follow up to ensure timely approvals. Denials Management: Review and analyze denied claims to determine root causes and appeal opportunities.
