Director Inpatient Services - Med/Surg, ICU, and Telemetry
Director of Inpatient Services: Medical/Surgical, ICU, Telemetry At Alta Vista Regional Hospital, people are the foundation of our commitment to providing quality, compassionate care. Job Summary: Provides leadership, with limited supervision, in directing daily operations of the inpatient services departments (Med/Surg and Telemetry). Oversight for the design, development, implementation and facilitation of comprehensive clinical programs, operations and quality efforts. Ensures and maintains compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Assists in meeting strategic objectives. Meets established budget and manages costs including forecasting financial impact of planned programs, services and operational initiatives. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited BSN nursing program; MSN preferred, or equivalent combination of education. Must have a minimum of 10 years clinical experience and 5 years management experience and/or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience. experience. Must possess a current New Mexico License or hold a Compact License Have and maintain a current certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS. Other certifications i.e. TNCC are recommended. Experience: Three to five years of experience in health care management and knowledge in health Education and Adult learning. Demonstrated examples of resourceful, creative, and innovative educational programming. Skilled in verbal and written communication for groups of varying sizes. Demonstrated knowledge of social and political trends impacting health education and the health care field. POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Performs specimen collection and processing according to established laboratory policies and procedures. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or GED. Experience: One year experience in a hospital or medically related environment preferred. Licenses/Certificates: Phlebotomy Certification preferred. Must obtain BLS within the first week of orientation.

POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provides direct care and assists in the monitoring of assigned patients under the direction and supervision of an RN. Performs other duties as assigned by the RN. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: Six months experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a hospital preferred. Licenses/Certificates: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provides information to diagnose patient illnesses by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Accredited Educational Program in Radiology Technology or College Degree Program. Physical Therapist
POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in managing daily operations of the department. Plans, administers, and coordinates physical therapy treatments to patients from all age groups in order to maximize their potential physical functioning. Contributes to the development of policies, setting of standards, and revision of procedures as needed. Works closely with family members to assure achievement of goals and continuity of care. Provides documentation of patient progress, reassesses and modifies goals and treatments as needed. Supervises and assists with evaluating and training LPTA’s, PT techs, PT students, and the department Secretary. Takes the lead in assuring there is continuous quality improvement involving all staff members. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire and must be kept current. Primary duty of performing work requiring knowledge of an advanced type in a field of science or learning customarily acquired by a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited college of Physical Therapy. P.T.M.S. degree minimum. POSITION PURPOSE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for registration of patients. Conduct patient interviews to obtain required information, complete requested forms, and obtain signatures. Explain hospital’s financial policy. Distributes information to required hospital departments. This position requires ability to multi-task and be self-motivated. The registrar must be knowledgeable in the registration process for ER, Outpatient Registration and Admissions. This Registrar must maintain an error rate of less than 5%.
