A Q&A with Dr. Tracy Wilkerson
Tracy Wilkerson, M.D.
How long have you been practicing?
8 years
How did you get started in medicine?
My grandfather had cancer and I was impressed with way the doctors helped with palliative care even though they couldn’t treat the disease.
What has surprised you about being a doctor?
How different and unique every individual patient and case are even within the same diagnosis group.
If there were one thing you’d like to share with your patients, what would it be?
Don’t be embarrassed or ashamed to talk about female issues; especially with your doctor. The earlier we know about a problem, the quicker we can get you the results you need to move forward.
What do you enjoy most about our community?
The steady climate and the mountains, but I miss my OK thunderstorms LOL.
What are some of your hobbies when you are not at work?
Spending time with my daughter, hiking, fishing, sewing, painting, writing music and playing with my dog and cat.
