AVRH invests in earlier stage detection of illnesses with advanced medical imaging CT
(Las Vegas, NM)- The modern technology and qualified staff at Alta Vista Regional Hospital (AVRH) provide you the convenience and comfort of diagnosis and treatment, close to home.
Patients and physicians in the region can now access the latest diagnostic imaging technology. The new 64-slice CT (computed tomography) scanner produces crisp, detailed images of the body in just seconds. The CT demonstrates how technology innovations are improving both the speed and accuracy of imaging results – enabling physicians to detect and treat diseases at an early stage.
The scanner creates cross-sectional images, or “slices,” to help physicians detect tumors, heart disease or internal injuries or bleeding.
“Our CT system offers an excellent combination of clinical excellence and patient safety – with the biggest benefit being increased capabilities for early detection. We pride ourselves on giving our physicians the best diagnostic tools. In addition, our patients and community will continue to benefit from this technology,” says Frank Almendarez, Chief Clinical Officer of Alta Vista Regional Hospital.
A CT scan requires a physician’s order. AVRH’s centralized scheduling department makes registering for outpatient tests in our diagnostic imaging department fast and easy. To schedule your appointment today, call (505) 426-3610.
